Living herbs...

Our farming method uses up to 90% less water than traditional growing methods, zero harmful chemicals or pesticides, and the newest energy efficient lighting available. Ecobain sets a standard for on farm food safety in Canada. Our facility is inspected by third party auditors, twice a year from both Canada GAP+ and Eco-Cert Organic.

Refreshing Basil

Our variety of basil is perfect for pesto, pizza and more. It is highly aromatic and the fact that it is living makes for the freshest dishes imaginable. If it were a person, it would be that really loud, outspoken friend who tells great stories and livens up your party.

Interesting tidbit: basil is a natural anti-inflammatory.

Crisp Dill

Dill is a weed (apparently), but we've never found a more delicious or versatile herb! In a true ‘rags to riches’ story, our dill has left its weedy past in the rearview and has achieved true stardom. Excellent in soups, on potatoes and in all Ukrainian dishes!

Interesting tidbit: in ancient times, dill was used as a stomach-relaxant for when someone would overeat.

Uptight Chives

Our chives could write self-help books for other chives. It packs a tonne of flavour, excellent for spring rolls, stir-fries, your morning eggs - really anything that needs a shot of fresh garlic without the bad breath!

Interesting tidbit: chives have been used in some cultures for telling fortunes and were believed to ward off disease and evil.

Cool Mint

Our mint is so cool that it wears its sunglasses at night. That is to say it would if it had sunglasses, or hands, or eyes for that matter. Either way, it’s cool and is the perfect variety for a summer mojito! Try using it in a rub for your next pork roast!

Interesting tidbit: mint got its name from a greek mythical river nymph. The story goes that Hades fell in love with Minthe and when his wife found out, she turned the nymph into an herb.
